4 Books for Baby’s First Easter

March 18, 2022

By: Christa Protano

If you’re a new mom, you may be wondering what to gift your little one with for Easter this year. After all, an assortment of candy may be nice for the parents (yes, we see you sneaking those peanut butter cups) but it’s not really practical for a newborn or toddler. Well, you’ve come to the right place — here are four new books that fit perfectly into any basket. Add some bubbles, a teething ring, maybe a new sippy cup, and you’ll be good to go.

Soft Like a Bunny

This sweet board book will keep your little one busy all Easter morning long thanks to a cuddly soft center that transforms into a new animal at the turn of each page. Bright colors, rhyming text and a fluffy llama, chick and bunny will delight toddlers until it’s time to visit the real petting zoo.

First Felt Flaps: Dinosaurs!

Though not as cuddly as a baby chick, dinosaurs still reign supreme in most children’s eyes. This intro to T. Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and friends comes with soft felt flaps that infants can play with while learning the most basic of Jurassic facts.

My First Wheel Books: Farm

Heads up: when baby arrives, there is no shortage of farm toys, plushies, or books that will arrive as well from doting family and friends. We like this new farm-inspired release most because of its interactive spinning wheel — it not only keeps smalls hands busy, but helps answer lots of fun questions, too.

I Moo! What Do You Do?

Told you the farm-inspired books were plentiful … but we can’t resist this colorful barn-shaped board that teaches kids their first animal sounds. After all, aside from “mama” and “dada,” “neigh” and “moo” are most likely the first words your child will make on demand. This title also receives an A+ for its peek-through pages and surprise mirror at the very end.
