Staying home doesn’t have to be boring!

Find a campsite nearby or camp out in your own backyard. Grab the sleeping bags, pop up a tent, and make a bonfire, complete with s’mores and ghost stories!

4. Have a movie night at home.

Each child can pick their favorite movie to watch. If you really want to get creative, you can make movie tickets and set up a concession stand with candy and popcorn.

5. Get some exercise in.

Go on a bike ride around your neighborhood or play a sport like soccer or basketball as a family.

9. Spend the day at a children’s museum or science center.

Be sure to check online or call ahead beforehand, as some places have certain days of the month with reduced or free admission.

10. Have a family game night.

Break out all your favorite board games and snacks! Invite friends over for some more friendly competition.

11. Bake something!

Let your kids pick a recipe to try and bake some cookies or other delicious goodies.

14. Visit a local farm.

Visiting a farm is educational and entertaining for kids and adults! Do a little research to see if any farms near you offer personal tours.

15. Learn about something new.

Have fun while learning with Build the Human Body. See the human body like never before through colorful illustrations, fascinating facts, and by building your very own human skeleton!

16. Go for a family drive.

Visit a nearby beach, lake, or pool. If there aren’t any in your area, break out the sprinklers or set up a slip & slide in your backyard and bring the water to you! Invite friends over to share in the fun!

19. Have a spa day at home.

Get some relaxation in. Gather up any supplies you have (nail polish, face masks, bathrobes, slippers, etc.) and turn your bathroom or living room into a spa.
