5 Books to Celebrate Christmas In July

July 1, 2022

By: Christa Protano

I admit, I never really celebrated Christmas in July until I had children. But as parents of littles, we tend to look for any excuse to get out of the house on weekends, amiright? When the town hall decided to put on an outdoor Christmas in July show complete with Olaf and Rudolph, my family was front-and-center. Now, I look forward to this annual excuse to watch Elf with my kids in the summertime. And when it’s time for bed, you know we are reading Christmas-themed stories. Here are a few favorites.

You’re My Little Christmas Cookie

From the best-selling You’re My Little series, Christmas Cookie is the perfect read for baby’s first Christmas in July. With playful, rhyming text paired with holiday character favorites, this board book offers a festive twist on a parent’s unconditional love story. Once you pick one up for yourself, be sure to grab a copy for the newest parent friend or family member, too.

Peas of Earth

Help your child countdown to sleep with five festive peas who can’t wait for the St. Nick’s imminent arrival. Babies will especially love the die-cut pages and colorful illustrations of this yuletide-inspired board book. Merry Christmas in July!

How Winston Delivered Christmas

I have to admit: I have a love/hate relationship with advent calendars. I always seem to forget to pick one up before they are sold out or December 1st has passed. If you’re like me, this is your reminder to add How Winston Delivered Christmas to your cart. Children can follow an adorable mouse as he tries to deliver a lost letter to Santa by reading one of twenty-four chapters per night. Each chapter is followed by a fun and festive holiday activity to complete.
